The International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) Consultation Period on draft International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) and draft specifications for ISPMs has opened. Following the revision of the standard setting procedure agreed to by IPPC contracting parties at CPM-11 (2016), the first consultation lasts 90 days and takes place from 1 July to 30 September 2021.
The IPPC Secretariat made the drafts publicly available and solicits comments through the IPPC Online Comment System (OCS) from contracting parties, RPPOs, national plant protection services of non-CPs, relevant international organizations and other entities as decided by the Standards Committee (SC).
